Oh precious sleep how we've missed you!
We are getting re-acquainted with sleep and remembering how nice it is to get a good, uninterrupted, solid night's worth. It all started last Tuesday night. It was as if Harper clearly heard the doctor's orders that day to start eliminating the middle of the night feeding and decided if she wasn't going to get fed she would just sleep instead. She slept from 11pm-6:45am that night. She woke up briefly during the night, but went right back to sleep. This pattern continued for a couple of nights. She would cry out for just a minute and rock right back to sleep without having to eat. Then Saturday night, she slept from 10:30pm-7:30am. And last night she slept from 9:15pm-6:20am, no crying during the middle of the night and no need for Mommy to get up. We all felt so refreshed this morning!
Now I wouldn't trade all the sleepless nights for anything in this world, but it is so nice to feel rested again! Sleep is returning, routines are forming, and our lives are developing a new and wonderful kind of normal. I love it!
