Practicing her roll but not quite making it over yet What a busy week it has been! Between "mom work" and "work work" I haven't had a chance to catch my breath this week until now. Since I posted last, Harper finally mustered the strength to roll over! Yay! It was a little over a week ago and she's been rolling everywhere since. And best of all, she saved it for Mom and Dad to see first! Hopefully it will work out that way for all of her other "firsts." Now she's on to her next task...sitting up (with help of course).
The pictures below were taken right after she rolled over the first time. In the second one she looks a little surprised that she actually did it.

Stephen took a quick trip to New York at the end of the week with his buddy Adam to support the Tide in the NIT championship game, and it just so happened that it coincided with Opening Day at Yankee Stadium. Funny how that worked out, lol. Daddy is all excited about Harper's first baseball season. While he was at the game, she was doing her part by sporting her very cute Yankee attire (one of her many Yankee outfits as this was his first purchase when we found out we were expecting).

Checking out her team logo!

I had an interview at work this week. I don't really know if it will work out or not, but it was good practice for anything that comes open in the future. While I would love to have the job, I'm not sure I would get the luxury of working from home like I do now, so I'm just leaving it up to God. I do enjoy work (most days), but my heart is with Harper now, and being able to work from home lets me get things done during the day so I can have more time with her at night. I was just hoping I would have a good interview so they would remember me down the road, but I honestly don't know how it went. I wish that I could leave my nerves outside the door when I do this stuff, but it doesn't happen. I'm just not good at interviewing. And while I know that I would be great at this job, I don't know if I left them with that impression. I just keep telling myself that when God wants me somewhere else he'll put me somewhere else, so until then....
As I am typing this I'm thinking of all the other things I need to be doing right now. My laundry is piled 4 feet high. I need to go walk/jog since the 5k is coming up in less than a month. Harper's room looks like an Easter explosion because we were trying to snap some pictures for an Easter card yesterday afternoon. Bottles need to be mixed up and the diaper bag needs to be packed for tomorrow. The list looks even longer typed out than it looked in my head so I better get on it!
