It Takes A Village

I'm pecking away with my one good hand after having carpal tunnel surgery on Friday. I didn't really know what to expect, but it doesn't hurt that bad. It's just more of a nuisance than anything. It's killing me not to be able to pick up Harper, but hopefully I'll get my strength back soon. Who knew pregnancy could cause carpal tunnel?!?! Stephen has assumed the role of "Mr. Mom" this weekend and has done a great job. My mom has cooked supper and cleaned and helped out big time with Harper too.

I am so very blessed to have such a strong support system with my family. From the day Harper arrived our parents and all of my aunts have been pitching in to make our lives a little easier. I honestly don't know how people get by and keep their sanity in tact without the help of their family. The phrase, "It takes a village," is so true!

Since I've started back to work, Stephen's dad rolls in to pick Harper up just before 7. He then takes her to my Aunt Diane's house where Stephen's mom picks her up in the afternoons, except on Wednesdays when my mom does it. And on Fridays my uncle's girlfriend, Patience, is keeping Harper at our house. We haven't been in this routine long, but it's already running like a well-oiled machine.

It's such a blessing to know that if something comes up and we need help there is no shortage of people willing to keep Harper or to get her where she needs to be. I don't say it enough, but I love and appreciate my family more than they will ever know!

I'll leave you with a couple of pictures of our sweet girl that were taken this week!
